Welcome to 15-413 Software Engineering Fall 97!

For the lecture and for the project, we will be using electronic bboards quite extensively to communicate with each other in next 3 months.

The bboards listed below will be used for the classes and the project. If other bboards are be created later during the semester, they will be announced on this bboard.

Used for course and project announcements by the instructor and teaching assistants. This bboard is readable by everybody, however only the instructor and the teaching assistants can post on it.

For free form discussion of project topics that belong to more than onesubsystem or team. Everybody taking the course can read this bboard and poston it.

For a more formal discussion of issues that arise during the development of the system. Issues are discussed in forms of proposals which can be supported or rejected by arguments. Issues can be assigned to people responsible for them. They can be either open or resolved. The issues bboard will be enabled after the lecture on Issue Modeling

The course and project help desk. This bboard is monitored regularly by the help desk person. We try to answer a question posted by a student taking the course in less than 4 hours (we are not promising this return time for posts between 10pm 8pm :-(.

Team BBoards:

There are two bboards for each team, called discuss and issues. Similar to the bboards for inter team communication the discuss bboard is for free form discussion of topics and the issues bboard is for a more formal discussion. The main audience of the team bboards is the respective team, not the whole class. The issue bboards are currently not enabled.
